East Bay Regional Park: Lake Chabot Area

Our pasture is located in the top right corner of the park map where is said “EBMUD Watershed”. Serene views and a lake side ride can be reached roughly 30 minutes from our Redwood Road access. Aside from the lake, there are endless options throughout this area of the East Bay Regional Park network for shorter (45min - 1hr) rides, or much longer rides that can fill your whole day and provide opportunities for snack and stretch breaks for horses and their riders all while enjoying more breathtaking views and listening to the creaking of the eucalyptus trees.

East Bay Municipal Utility District Trails

Our pasture is in the green area of this map above where Redwood Road and Camino Alta Mira intersect. This trail network can be accessed directly from within the co-op land and provided sweeping views of the rolling hills. Sometimes it can feel like you’re riding through the backdrop of some dreamy movie. These trails are a great option if you’re looking for a ride with minimal interactions with other trail goers given that part of these trails are within our locked pasture and the rest are typically accessed by the few neighbors who live walking distance to the entry outside of our pasture. If you get to “Dinosaur Rocks” make sure you stop and take in the 360 view of the entire Bay Area!
